MINUTES FROM THE 10/09/2011 CIFM&MDS Meeting

Present: Ruth Slates, Mike Raab, George McCord, Barry Levitt, Randi Klees, Linda Henson, Rocco Brunelle. Absent: Chuck Morgan

Meeting was called to order by President, Ruth Slates.

Minutes from the September, 2011 meeting were approved.

Treasurer's Report: George talked about honorary memberships. He requested in the form of a Motion that an Honorary Membership be extended to the Preacher from our host site, Bethlehem Church. Motion passed. They will not be sent out mailings, etc. Names may be brought to the Board for approval. The members of Mandolindy will be offered a one year honorary membership on Motion by George, passed. Mike Raab moved to accept the Treasurer's Report, seconded by Randi Klees. Passed.

Music: Mike Raab's Sound System was purchased from Gary Keiser. He will continue to provide the sound at meetings with no changes until January. He is planning to announce to the membership that he's gong to start a phone tree for gigs to let everyone know about them. Ruth and Randi will look at new member packets. Gigs for 2012: Debi Simons, Hendricks County Library, April 26, 2012. We need to send ot letters to all donors/clients as a thanks and hopefully to reconnect. Riley Festival had 9 people, they did very well and had good participation by the audience. Stoney Creek Farm Pumpkin Festival, we will play but no big band as there is no pay.

New Business: Board Positions. A Nominating Committee is forming for new one year terms.

Rocco Brunelle, Vice President, will not be going forward. Will serve on Nominating Committee.

Barry Levitt, Webmaster - will go forward

George McCord, Treasurer - will go forward

Randi Klees, Member at Large - will go forward but will be looking for assistants

Linda Henson, Secretary - will go forward

Ruth Slates, President - will go forward

Phil Slates, Newsletter - will go forward.

Meeting closed at 2:00 on Motion by George, seconded by Mike. Passed
